FAQ

Questions, answered plainly.

What is VINNU?

VINNU is personal intelligence: a system that remembers context, learns from what happens when it works with you, and changes its future behavior based on evidence — not just a chat interface with memory attached.

How is VINNU different from memory?

Memory preserves what happened — a fact, a preference, a past message. VINNU goes further: it evaluates outcomes, turns them into evidence, and forms strategies about what to do differently next time. Memory answers "what happened?" VINNU also asks "what worked, under what conditions, and what should change?"

How does VINNU learn?

Every interaction can become an experience: goal, context, decision, action, and outcome. VINNU evaluates the outcome, and when a pattern is supported by enough evidence, it becomes a candidate strategy. Strategies only start shaping future behavior once they're evidence-backed — VINNU doesn't treat every conversation as training data.

What does VINNU remember?

Working context for what you're doing now, recent experience from the last few interactions, and longer-term context such as projects, people, decisions, and preferences relevant to your work. You can review, correct, or remove what's stored.

Can VINNU make mistakes?

Yes. VINNU is a working prototype in early access. Strategies can be wrong, evidence can be thin, and outcomes can be misread. That's why every learned strategy carries a confidence level and can be corrected, weakened, or retired as new evidence comes in.

How does VINNU know when a strategy applies?

Learning includes applicability, not just the pattern itself. VINNU tracks the conditions a strategy was learned under and distinguishes reuse in the same context, cautious adaptation for a partial match, and no automatic transfer to a genuinely different context.

Can I correct what VINNU learned?

Yes. You can keep a strategy, change it, or tell VINNU to forget it. Contrary outcomes also adjust a strategy's confidence automatically — learning isn't treated as permanent once it's formed.

Can I pause learning?

Yes. You can pause learning so VINNU stops forming new strategies while continuing to operate on what it already knows, and resume it later.

Can I forget something?

Yes. You can ask VINNU to forget a specific memory or a learned strategy. Removing a strategy doesn't require you to lose everything else it has learned.

Does VINNU use different AI models?

Yes. VINNU is built with a provider abstraction layer and has integrated Sarvam and OpenRouter, with support for local models. The intelligence layer — experience, strategy, applicability, learning — is designed to stay with you across providers rather than being tied to one model.

Does VINNU train its own model?

No. VINNU is designed as a model-independent intelligence layer. Its learning lives in the governed system around the models — evidence, strategies, applicability — rather than requiring model-weight updates. We're not claiming this is universally superior, just describing how VINNU is built.

Why voice?

Voice is the interface, not the product. Speaking naturally is often the fastest way to give VINNU the context it needs; VINNU turns that conversation into context, decisions, actions, and eventually experience.

How does VINNU protect my data?

VINNU is built around authorization, auditability, and an emergency stop for agent actions, with a local-first architecture where supported and minimized provider context. Our Security & Privacy and Privacy Policy pages are drafts pending full legal review, and we'll update them as that review completes.

Is VINNU available now?

VINNU is an early-stage working prototype. We're beginning real-user validation now. It is not generally available, and we don't claim it's been validated at scale.

How can I join?

VINNU is opening to a small group of founders, builders, and independent operators through a private beta. You can request access from the beta signup on this page.
